 Matthew Koch's Bio  

   In photography one must have an eye for life in a small frame. You must see that image in your mind before you press down the shutter. Your camera clicks and the excitement of a new image is born. It's a moment captured forever and it can become a lasting memory.

Matthew's passion for photography is fed by the moments when life should be stopped and preserved. His goal is to show each image in its most genuine state by using natural light and a focus on sharp clean imagery. After graduating from the Rocky Mountain School of photography Matthew has learned what it takes to nurture his craft combining technical knowledge with his artistic creativity.

Matthew's other passion is traveling. His love for whitewater kayaking encouraged his desire to travel around the US and Mexico in search of the best rivers in the world; While following this pursuit Matthew has happened upon a very unique and nomadic life style which, in turn, also nurtures his photography. His life is a journey and the journey is life and it all bleeds out in his photography. 

So you never know when and where Matthew will show up camera in hand. It may be in rural Kentucky shooting a wedding or in Mexico photographing his brothers kayaking over waterfalls. The possibilities are endless.
